Plumbing Skills Manual
(6/9/2006)
A new training guide is available online to help teach basic copper plumbing skills.
“An Introduction to Professional Plumbing Skills" has been developed by the Copper Development Centre in conjunction with various TAFE Plumbing Schools.
Available as an easy-to-use Acrobat PDF file, the guide is designed to help teach copper plumbing to new entrants to the profession.
Interactive work sheets have been developed to introduce trainees to the necessary skills to measure, cut, bend, join and install copper tube and fittings to a high standard.
A series of reference material that can be used as handouts to students covering pipework bending and installation methods are part of the package.
Other topics include practical solutions to water hammer, dezincification and copper design considerations and jointing methods. You will also find valuable installation tips and advice on subjects like fixing copper, copper springs, jointing, pipework planning and copper underground.
This excellent resource material is a further demonstration of the copper industry’s commitment to working with TAFE to further the training of professional installers Australia-wide.
